Here’s a picture of a bangle I made years ago. I decided to enter it + few other pieces to be considered for the publication of 500 Plastic Jewelry. The book is published by Lark Books and due to be release in September 09. It’s made of cast polyester resin + Tahitian black pearls. I had such a difficult time carving + polishing this as I first cast it inside a clear plastic container to control the positioning of the pearls. So it was one big block of resin with pearls in it. I made the arm-hole + carved the shape out with a dremel and a hand saw.
I’ll begin prototyping a new collection soon too.
